I am directed by the Lords Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 23rd instant, transmitting, by desire of the Secretary of State, for the consideration of the Lords of this Committee, a copy of a Dispatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, forwarding an Ordinance passed by the Legislature of that Colony (No. 11 of 1860) entitled "An Ordinance to constitute a Marine Court of Enquiry in Hong Kong".
In reply, I am to state to you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that their Lordships see no objection to the confirmation.
